Hempsons Legal Seminar - TUPE and Procurement Essentials
This session will:

- Look at TUPE in practice in procurement – as a bidder and as a contracting authority

The session will be presented by Martin Cheyne and Deborah Ramshaw, both partners at Hempsons.
Martin is an employment law specialist based in the Harrogate office. Martin acts in the full range of claims before Employment Tribunals and frequently defends factually complex and also legally novel claims, particularly in relation to disability, sex and sexual orientation discrimination and whistle-blowing allegations. His advice practice includes contentious staff transfer issues and TUPE disputes, executive and senior manager terminations, re-organisations and complex disciplinary matters.
Deborah is a procurement law specialist based in the Newcastle office. Deborah joined Hempsons at the end of 2016 and she is a nationally recognised procurement law expert. Deborah has expertise in a wide range of sectors including: health, local government, central government, energy, transport, education and registered providers. Deborah also advises private sector providers across a range of procurement law matters including tendering strategies and advice on remedies when clients are unsuccessful. Deborah has significant experience of dealing with the procurement law aspects of TUPE as part of her work on a wide range of outsourcing projects and new models of delivery such as staff mutuals.
The event will commence with refreshments at 9:30am for a 10:00am start, it will end at approximately 12:30pm. Lunch will be provided afterwards (timings may be subject to change).
