NOE CPC HR and Workforce workshop

A workshop focusing on key issues affecting HR and workforces in the NHS was held recently by the NOE CPC.

The event, which was held at The Source in Sheffield included information on proposals to restrict the use of off-framework agency staff by NHS Improvement and identifying compliant umbrella firms.

Guests were given an overview of the NOE CPC and how it works to benefit member trusts in different areas including compliance, process efficiencies and savings.

As well as an overview of the HR and People category procurement areas, there was also an opportunity for participants to hear from NHS Improvement about temporary staffing updates and agency consultation Case studies from Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust presented the changes they had made in their workforce management in order to be more streamlined and cost effective.

Joanne Barton, senior category manager for HR and People at NOE CPC and organiser of the event said: “The audience at the workshop were really engaged with the topics under discussion and I would like to thank our guest speakers who came along to offer their insight on key issues facing our members workforces.

“The feedback from the session was really positive and the case studies were really valued by attendees.”
