Browne Jacobson Legal Seminar - GDPR: Practical lessons to get compliant
This session, delivered by solicitor Dmitrije Sirovica, who specialises in matters of public law including judicial review and is also experienced in planning and environmental law, will consider the key issues which organisations must get right in order to ensure they are compliant with the GDPR and the new Data Protection Act. During the session we will look at issues such as how:
- creating integrated care systems will impact on individual organisation compliance,
- social media platforms are used, and
- the impact of the continuing debate over systems such as DeepMind in the context of confidentiality impacts on health systems.
As integrated care systems develop a key aspect will be integrating the flow of patient and client data, but that must be done against the backdrop of the new legal framework and ensuring data is protected and secure however it is held.
It is intended that the session should be interactive and we actively encourage sharing the solutions your organisation has developed with other system colleagues.
The event will commence with refreshments at 9:30am for a 10:00am start, it will end at approximately 12:30pm. Lunch will be provided afterwards (timings may be subject to change).
