As part of our focus this month on #CommercialMatters, Adele Guettat, Category Manager in our Technology (ICT) Category, explores why it is important we work closely with stakeholders to ensure NOE CPC frameworks unlock commercial and funding potential for your IT/Digital needs.

As part of NHS England’s Procurement framework strategy recommendations, all NOE CPC Technology (ICT) frameworks are endorsed by NHS England (NHSE) as optimal routes to market for digital and IT spend. Through the endorsement process, NHSE aims to reduce duplication of frameworks whilst ensuring the high quality and standards required by the health service are met.

The use of these endorsed frameworks provides customers with the confidence that they are fit for purpose, compliant and robust routes to market when buying digital and technology goods and services.

As an accredited framework endorsed host, NOE CPC will continue to work closely with NHS England to ensure that new or extended frameworks within our ICT category maintain the level of quality for endorsement in the future.

Quality assurance underpins all our IT frameworks, and suppliers must hold minimum and applicable accreditations in order to meet the quality standards required to be awarded onto our frameworks. This contributes to the quality of our frameworks, assurances of quality and saves customers the time usually required to ensure these levels of quality are met.

NHS funding is often subject to the use of NHSE endorsed routes to market, therefore NOE CPC frameworks can unlock this potential for customers seeking funding approval for IT/Digital projects.

The NOE CPC Technology (ICT) category provides category expertise and support to utilise a suite of frameworks covering non-clinical IT requirements including hardware, software and services for all your infrastructure and tech devices requirements.

Our collaborative working with NHS London Procurement Partnership also ensures a joined-up approach to a complimentary suite of frameworks, covering clinical IT requirements too.

As wholly-owned NHS organisations, NOE CPC and NHS LPP ensure our services and frameworks are tailored to meet NHS needs, including cost saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, value add and NHS targets and commitments regarding Sustainability & Social Value and Carbon Reduction.

Our IT Hardware and Services (LINK3), Total Technology Solutions, and ICT Solutions Delivery frameworks allow you the freedom to either run a further competition or direct award under the terms of the framework.

As a result, we have a range of mechanisms in place to assist customers in ensuring compliance whilst optimising value for money. These include:

  • Quick Quote Tool: Available on our IT Hardware and Services (LINK3), and Total Technology Services This tool allows you to request competitive quotations for your specific requirements from all relevant awarded suppliers, who will then contact you directly with a quote.
  • Capped pricing: Available on a core basket of devices, which meet approved NHS standard specifications, across all lots on IT Hardware and Services (LINK3).
  • Vendor Discount Matrix: Available on Total Technology Solutions, this enables you to view fixed minimum discounts by manufacturer and speciality resource day rates, to allow for completely transparent direct award decision making.
  • Supplier Sourcing Tool: Available on our new Non-Clinical Systems DPS, you can create a shortlist of suitable suppliers, which can either be taken offline or used to obtain quotes from them directly.
