NHS Supply Chain has appointed NOE CPC as a Non-Medical Category Management Service Provider (CMSP) for the Facilities (including Office Solutions) category, entrusting our organisation to continue to facilitate the supply of non-medical goods to the NHS.

As part of our #SuppliersMatter month, we spoke to Kevin Chidlow, Category Tower Director, about securing the new contract and his perspective as a supplier to the NHS.

“We were really pleased to be awarded the Facilities (Office Solutions) category, having set out our stall to be a collaborative, positive provider that works together with NHS Supply Chain and the NHS to deliver value to the health service,” he said.

“As an NHS organisation, those values are really important to us. So, to be able to carry on providing that service to the NHS until 2027 is a wonderful endorsement of the hard work we have put into our service delivery over the last 5 years.

“NOE CPC is hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and so we are ourselves a customer of NHS Supply Chain. We span the whole of the NHS as an organisation so it gives us a unique position to understand what the NHS needs.

“We are all proud to be part of the NHS and we take our trust values – integrity, simplicity and caring – into our procurement activity. They come through in everything we do. We are delighted that the contract has been awarded to an NHS organisation that has these values.

“Over the five-year duration of our NHS Hotel Services contract, we exceeded our targets and were able to achieve more than we anticipated when we first began. We have built on and developed our relationships with colleagues across NHS Supply Chain which have allowed us to trust one another; having respect and confidence in each other’s abilities.

“We have prided ourselves in working together as a team, and now we have won this contract as a team. It’s a team that has been well-established over the years, has grown together and has delivered, and has faced all of its challenges together.

“We will take that into the next contract, where we will evolve. We will welcome new team members, who will have the opportunity to join us from Crown Commercial Services (Tower 9). We are really looking forward to welcoming those members and will work incredibly hard to continue to make NOE CPC an enjoyable, positive place to work.

“We will also be creating some exciting new positions, and those new team members will be able to contribute and bring some fresh ideas to the table, which we will welcome and take forward with us to the next level.

“As a result of these new roles we will be able to focus more on sustainability and social value and increase our focus on supplier relations and innovation.

“We now look forward to developing and investing in the talents of our team during the Facilities contract and I know that will help us achieve our goals in the coming years.”
