Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women's Day and what does it mean to you?
It’s important to celebrate the achievements of women, their rights, and work towards gender equality.
Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman and how did you overcome them?
I have the added barrier of also being a woman with a physical disability so I have regularly encountered the challenge of not being consulted regarding my own interests. I feel as I have got older and experienced life lessons I have been able to pluck up more confidence to address it.

Seeing Sinead Burke on the cover of Vogue, a woman with the same disability as me.
Can you tell me about a female role model who has inspired you over your career?
Definitely Sinead Burke.
What are you most proud of in your career?
Getting to where I am now, breaking barriers and making lots of connections and contacts. I feel I have finally got to a stage where people take me seriously for my job.
Why do you think diversity in the workplace is so important?
It’s important to have the views of all and have female and disabled representation to gather all viewpoints and ensure the organisation considers all angles of diversity.
