Meet Cara Harris, Customer Relationship Manager
In keeping with this month’s theme of #SupportMatters, we wanted to highlight our Customer Relationship Managers (CRMs), who work hard behind the scenes to forge positive relationships with customers and NHS trusts and determine which of our frameworks will best serve their procurement requirements.
With that said, we’d like to introduce you to Cara Harris, one of NOE CPC’s CRMs, who talked to us about the current projects she’s working on.
Can you tell us about your current role at NOE CPC?
As a Customer Relationship Manager, I am responsible for developing and maintaining strong partnerships with non-membership organisations and trusts in the North East and North West regions of England. My role is to ensure that NOE CPC delivers high-quality services and solutions that help the NHS and public sector achieve their goals of cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. I work closely with our customers to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and to provide them with tailored support and guidance.
What are you hoping to achieve within your role?
In my role, I aim to enhance our connections within my specified regions and to increase our outreach to potential clients who can benefit from our services. By doing so, I hope to boost the usage of services and frameworks across the North East and North West and to contribute to the continued success of NOE CPC as an NHS organisation.
What is your professional background?
I have a professional background in marketing and project management, as well as a strong sales background and ability. I graduated from Northumbria University in 2017 with a degree in Business with Marketing Management. After that, I travelled to Australia and worked for a successful marketing company, where I set a record for generating the most leads in one day by any female employee in the company's history. I returned from Australia and joined the NHS as a Project Support Officer, supporting project managers to establish and maintain project controls and deliver key outcomes. I advanced within the Digital Services department and took a leading role in managing the vaccination rollout for over 10,000 staff members. During my time in this role, I also oversaw the implementation of new systems in the hospital that have resulted in improved patient care. I am currently seconded to NOE CPC for a 12-month period, where I continue to positively promote the NHS badge and provide customers with tailored support.
Will you be looking to develop your professional skills at NOE CPC?
Yes, I am always on the lookout to develop my professional skills. I am currently enrolled to complete my Prince2 Practitioner certification and constantly keep an eye out for new courses that allow for both the development of my professional skills and the opportunity to network across the NHS and public sector.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending quality time with my dachshund Ralph, who is very pampered and loved. He is the centre of attention for me and my partner, and we can often be found sharing his photos and stories with others. When I am not busy with Ralph, I indulge in my passion for country music, which sometimes involves dragging my relatives and friends to concerts and shows with me. A recent highlight of mine was seeing Shania Twain perform live, which was an incredible and unforgettable experience!
Can you tell us an interesting fact about you?
I have performed at the Royal Albert Hall as a glockenspiel player. This was part of a children's play that I participated in when I was in primary school. The play was so well-received that we were invited to perform at the prestigious venue. I did not fully appreciate the significance of this opportunity back then, but now I look back on it with great pride and gratitude.
