NOE CPC are proud to be a sponsor of P4H England. As well as exhibiting in the NHS Commercial and Procurement Pavilion, members of our team will also be presenting at the event at the NEC in Birmingham on 18th September.

Our focus for this month is #CommercialMatters, and ensuring we foster positive relationships with our suppliers is a huge part of ensuring we deliver the best value for our customers.

Supplier Relationship Manager Ruth Burns will be presenting in the Market and Supply Chain Innovation zone on five steps to positive supplier relationships and why they matter.

In her role as supplier relationship manager, Ruth brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience.

NOE CPC’s procurement team meet regularly with our suppliers to ensure the products and services they provide are compliant. Utilising a diverse range of suppliers and recognising that working with smaller local suppliers, social enterprises and third sector organisations is beneficial to both our organisation and the supplier community.

Engaging with suppliers throughout the relationship, looking at the impact of services and products they supply across the spectrum and identifying areas for improvement is key to developing strong supplier relationships and improving the quality of supply to the NHS.

Ruth said: “The NHS faces complex challenges, and we cannot deliver solutions to these challenges without the knowledge and support of our network of suppliers.

“Maintaining positive and collaborative relationships and having a shared goal is key, open dialogue and listening to all parties will support a free exchange of ideas.

With change on the horizon in the form of the Procurement Act, ensuring good supplier relationships is key to helping all of us adjusting to the changes and ensuring key stakeholders are part of contract management
